Holland Lodge Opens the Front Doors to 4911 Montrose

Saturday, August 23, 2003 15+ Masons of Holland Lodge meet at the building to install new front doors. The original doors had become inoperable or almost impossible to use. The new doors have a ‘panic bar' in compliance with City Codes and can be easily used the Members and visitors to our building. Push down on the Bar and the doors open right up.

No more bringing Guests and Friends of our Lodge through the backdoor. The Masonic Building Association authorized the work and Bro. Bill Lins of Holland volunteered his time and talent to installing the the doors and frame. Many thanks to Bill - let him know how much you apprecciate his efforts and leadership in this project. Several Brothers pitched-in including Jack Mcaine, Bob Welch, Terry Morton, Dave Hacke, Jason Kniss, Max Bernstein, Budd Baumgardner, Jeff Burnett, Earl Thompson, Colin Keel and pal - Banjo, Walter Saunders, Jerry Jones, & Patrick Mahoney.

At 9am, trucks and trailers pulled right up on the front entrance and began to setup for the doors & frame installation, as well as the cooking of lunch for the Brothers. Many of our neighbors waived and said good morning to us. A total of 15 Masons came to help, learn and be of good cheer. Supervision and better ideas were abundant, but no one heard a word of anything except good cheer. It is certainly pleasant to be in the company of good men, doing good things.
